Job Overview:

Continental Tide is seeking a motivated, energetic, and detail-oriented individual for a mid-level Electrical Engineer position located at the Philadelphia Naval Business Center in Philadelphia, PA. The successful candidate will join our Engineering Team currently supporting initiatives for Naval Sea Systems Command at the Naval Ship Systems Engineering Station/NSWCPD.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing engineering support during the installation, operation, troubleshooting, and/or maintenance of shipboard systems
  • Apply engineering principles to support system design, production, and shipboard integration for HM&E systems andequipment.
  • Lead techanical project teams, schedules, reports and brief customers and senior management

Experience and Skills

  • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • 3-10 years of direct experience in the design, testing, installation, maintenance and alteration of Naval Ship HM&E systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret ship installation drawings, installation specifications and NAVSEA Standard Items is preffered.
  • Knowledge of machinery automation and PLC-based control systems
  • Must have or have the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance
  • Must have the ability to obtain base access and security credentials
  • Ability to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job, but no less than 30 lbs.
  • Ability to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces.
  • Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States.
  • Due to export control regulations, this role is open to U.S. citizens only.
