Continental Tide is seeking motivated, energetic entry-level
candidates interested in the dynamic environment of U.S. Navy Ship
repair. Candidates must possess a technical school certificate, and
the ability to secure a Security Credential. Desired applicants
possess experience with SMAW and FCAW methods, as well as a strong
work ethic, dedication, and aspiration to excel.
A willingness to travel, strong communication skills and the ability
to work in teams is a must.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Must possess an associate’s degree or technical certificate in
electro-mechanical or mechatronics technology or program.
- Perform welding processes to repair, modify and install various
pipes, structures, foundations and fittings associated with
shipboard hydraulic, pneumatic and water systems.
- Fabricate and install fixtures and jigs required for welding
process alignments. Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams
or schematics to determine appropriate welding process.
- Inspect completed welds to determine structural soundness and
adherence to NAVSEA, ABS & AWS standards. Installs or repairs
equipment, such as pipes, valves, floors and tank linings.
- Possess basic welder's tools.
